In the latest in Ford’s series showing its favorite European roads for evaluation new cars, the new Fiesta ST’s dynamics are put to the test in a rather unusual location: 400 metres below ground in one of Europe’s largest salt mines, with World Rally Championship driver Elfyn Evans at the wheel. “The salt is actually like fine gravel to drive on, quite slippery to be honest, especially on road tires,” said Evans.
