Highly automated or autonomous vehicles require a wide range of sensors and cameras, including laser, radar and GPS, to record all environmental factors. This information is currently processed at various interfaces in the car, which tell each subsystem such as braking, damping, steering or drivetrain, what it has to do. This video shows how Thyssenkrupp’s software experts are developing an integrated motion control unit which centrally controls the actuators of the individual components for significantly improved driving dynamics, new safety concepts and a individualised driving experience
