DARPA’s Ground X-Vehicle Technologies (GXV-T) program aims to improve mobility, survivability, safety, and effectiveness of future combat vehicles without adding heavy armor. One particularly cool idea is the Reconfigurable Wheel-Track (RWT), which can combine the traction benefits of a track with the speed benefits of a tire β all in one unit.
