Simpack has come to Vehicle Dynamics Expo with two important new pieces of simulation software to present to visitors. First up is release 9.1 of the main Simpack Automotive package, which features a completely new GUI, a parallel solver to take advantage of multiple CPUs to speed up processing time, and interfaces based on the FMI (Functional Mockup Interface) standard. Product manager Jan Zeman reports that the release has been well received by existing and prospective new customers.
Also new is a plug-in for Simpack Automotive called Wizard, which has been developed in response to customer requests. Wizard is an automatic setup tool for simulation models in areas including vehicle dynamics, runs standard simulations and produces reports. It’s aimed at non-expert users as no programming is required, although expert users can still easily modify the standard database with new designs.
