Mechanical Simulation has created a human-Hardware-in-the-Loop driving simulator for Geely Automobile. The system includes the latest Bosch brake controller with anti-lock braking, electronic stability control, traction control system, electronic brake-force distribution, and tire blowout monitor and control system. It also includes a brake hydraulic system, brake boost and vacuum system, brake calipers, rotors, pads, and a car shifter and instrument cluster unit.
The simulator features a CarSim RT (real time) system with multiple monitors. It is fitted with a high-precision torque feedback steering wheel, smart wheel speed signal generator and a failure injection unit. The brake input can be set as pedal travel input or pedal force input.
The new system also works with an existing Mechanical Simulation driving simulator at Geely that includes a hexapod motion platform. When connected, the hexapod system includes the HIL components in the driving experience. Both systems are controlled by CarSim.
