Supashock has become the first locally designed and manufactured damper product to enter into the V8 Supercars Championship in Australia. The damper had already been homologated into the FIA GT series worldwide along with a number of forms of motorsport including rallying, local circuit racing, open-wheel racing and international sports-car competition. The damper has also undergone an extensive testing program in Formula 1.
Supashock’s managing director, Oscar Fiorinotto, commented, “The development process for Supashock has involved many innovative and intelligent local people in designing and manufacturing a world class product to compete on a global scale in cut-throat environments all around the world.
“Our small but growing Australian company has competed and delivered against the biggest suspension companies in the world and has won in the very top GT level in Europe, so it was a natural progression to pursue success back home in Australia.”
The Supashock dampers were debuted by Ford Performance Racing at the Gold Coast, while other teams are currently testing the dampers for use in the future.
“We have set up a dedicated to team to service our V8 Supercar partners and look forward to working with them in their quest for perfection in one of the most respected and highly competitive championships in the world,” Fiorinotto concluded.
