US-based ClearMotion is expanding its testing operations to the UK, and has set up a workshop at MIRA Technology Park. ClearMotion is a technology company that is developing a proactive ride system which replaces shock absorbers with a predictive road-sensing software and actuation system that pulls and pushes wheels to mitigate vehicle movement across terrain. The MIRA facility, which includes ride and handling circuits, will be an integral part of ClearMotion’s R&D process and will be the company’s main European test center.
“It’s an incredible time to be in automotive technology as we see game-changing innovations coming to market faster than ever,” said Shakeel Avadhany, CEO and co-founder of ClearMotion, which in 2017 secured a US$130 million investment led by J.P. Morgan Asset Management, forged partnerships with Bridgestone and Qualcom, and acquired Bose Corporation’s active motive control business.
