VI-grade has announced that its 2020 International VI-grade Virtual Conference will be held online, on 13 May, 2020. Just one year ago, more than 240 engineers, managers and simulation experts from all over the world gathered at the VI-grade International Conference in Hanau near Frankfurt, Germany, to discuss the latest trends in driving simulation. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 event will be a ‘virtual conference’.
The free-to-attend event, dedicated to executive managers and experienced engineers from the main automotive and transportation companies, Tier 1 suppliers, motorsport teams, universities and research centres from all over the world, will be hosted on 13 May, 2020 at 13:00 CEST (07:00 EDT / 20:00 JST) using a web conferencing platform. Confirmed (keynote and technical) online presentations so far include content from Applus + IDIADA, Goodyear, Maserati, Pininfarina and Volvo.
“Due to the great success of our previous conferences, we are very pleased to have found a way to produce the 12th edition of our International Conference, despite the current emergency situation,” said Guido Bairati, VP of global sales & marketing at VI-grade. “Therefore, we are especially looking forward to giving our international community the opportunity to share their latest projects and advancements realised using our simulation solutions with an experienced audience.”
The event will also feature a fully functional virtual exhibition area open during the whole day of 13 May, in which all sponsors and partners will have the chance of presenting their solutions during dedicated sessions open to all participants. Confirmed sponsors of the Virtual Conference so far are: Applus+ IDIADA, Danisi Engineering, Rebel Dynamics, Saginomiya, Barco, Concurrent Real-Time, Cosin, IMTEC Engineering, MegaRide, MSC Software, Multimatic, SimCoVR, 3D Mapping, Altair, Horiba Mira, Konrad Technologies and Smart Eye. Additional sponsors and exhibitors will be added in the runup to the event.
The ‘physical’ version of the conference has been postponed to Spring 2021. Exact dates and additional information about this event will be disclosed soon.
