Innovations designed to avoid disturbing noises and vibrations while also reducing particulate emissions and parasitic residual slip are a focus for OEMs around the world. As a specialist in the field of brake test dynamometers, Horiba is to join forces with the ANT (advanced noise technologies) division of Hühoco, a supplier to the automotive industry, to provide comprehensive testing services for friction brakes. The agreement includes the two partners building a joint test center in Flörsheim near Frankfurt/ Main in Germany.
The brake test center will include four test benches, including a system for climate simulation from to Horiba’s Giant series of brake test dynamometers. The aim of the center is to provide independent and objective results for vehicle manufacturers, as well as suppliers of friction linings and brakes. The official opening of the test center is planned for Fall 2016.
