Brake and clutch system manufacturer, AP Racing, has won a motorsport industry award in recognition of its efforts in securing new business in overseas markets. The company, based in Coventry, UK won the Export Achievement category at the annual Motorsport Industry Association Business Excellence Awards, which recognize excellence in business performance among companies working in, or serving, the motorsport sector.
The judges’ citation on AP Racing stated that, “For the past 10 years exports have regularly exceeded 50% of sales and in the past three years, this has grown to more than 66%.”
David Hamblin, AP Racing’s managing director, commented, “This award is a tribute to the entire AP Racing team, who are committed to delivering the quality and excellence for which the company has become renowned worldwide. AP Racing products are the first choice for teams in major series such as Formula 1 and NASCAR, as well as in single-seat racing, rallying, sports car, stock car and touring car racing.”
