AP Racing, a supplier of automotive brakes and clutches, has unveiled the latest evolution of its forged technology, with the launch of its all-new ‘Forged 10’ caliper for the upgrades market. AP says the forged aluminium monobloc, radial mount design offers “significant“ braking performance, with two opposed sides of five pistons.

The Forged 10 range incorporates AP Racing’s patented Radi-CAL technology, an asymmetrical brake caliper design launched in 2007.
Speaking on the launch, AP Racing’s managing director, David Hamblin, said: “This is an exciting product to unveil, and one that perfectly combines our expertise in the upgrades market with our industry-leading OEM engineering capabilities. This new 10-piston caliper allows for a larger brake pad and can also run with both carbon ceramic and iron discs, delivering exceptional braking performance.”
AP Racing has also launched a new caliper designed specifically for electric vehicles (EVs), again based on Radi-CAL technology.
The company says this new Radi-CALe caliper improves low-drag efficiency and braking performance. The off-the-shelf product will be available as a four- or six-piston system, taking inspiration from AP Racing’s WR1, WR2 and Mono R ranges to offer the benefits of aluminium pistons and noise abatement technology. The caliper will be available to order from January 2025, in anti-corrosion paint options of gloss black, red, silver, yellow or white, as well as an exclusive green.
