Delphi Technologies is adding to its portfolio of aftermarket automotive products with the launch of a top strut mount program. The mounts build on the company’s steering and suspension technology line-up, with the rubber-to-metal parts engineered to the same OE standards for a quiet and comfortable ride.
According to Delphi, the European steering and suspension market, which includes rubber-to-metal parts, is forecast to grow by 3% per annum, largely due to the rising number of potholes and other road defects, coupled with consumers expectations for an improved ride. To meet the increasing demand for replacement parts, Delphi Technologies’ top strut mount program includes more than 100 part numbers, fitted to over 7,900 applications, such as BMW Mini, Ford Fiesta and VW Golf. This takes the company’s coverage of the European steering and suspension market to over 90%, with more additions planned throughout 2019.
“The poor condition of our roads is hitting motorists hard in more ways than one,” stated Jean-Francois Bouveyron, VP of EMEA for Delphi Technologies Aftermarket. “By fitting our top strut mounts, garages will be able to lessen both the financial and physical impact for their customers – offering a quality, long-lasting repair that will get their car back on the road quickly, maximise future service intervals and offer excellent protection for a safe and comfortable ride. This will help forge lasting and trusted customer relationships, and ultimately generate new business.”
Featuring the same quality of rubber compounds, plated steel and bonding as the rest of its rubber-to-metal range, the company’s top strut mounts are designed to provide strength, flexibility and noise and vibration reduction, whilst also ensuring a smooth and responsive ride. The mounts also come with SAE grade installation hardware, including OE bearings, for a quick, reliable and professional service.
