Four major automotive suppliers have agreed to establish a joint venture company to develop integrated ECU software for vehicle dynamics control and automated driving. The partners – Denso Corporation (65% share), Aisin Seiki (25%), Advics (5%) and JTekt (5%) – are aiming to accelerate the development of the sophisticated software required to operate the increasingly complex integrated ECUs being introduced to meet the needs of automotive technologies such as electrification, automated driving and connected driving.
The four companies will each apply their unique strengths to the venture, developing and providing software for integrated ECUs for the management of components such as sensors, brakes and steering.
According to the partners, details of the venture are still being discussed and the plan is for the new company to launch in March 2019.
