In the fifth and final instalment of a series of lap record attempts across Europe in 2018 for its Civic Type R Challenge, Honda has set a new 2min 10.19secrecord for a front-wheel drive production car at the Hungaroring GP circuit in Hungary. The car was driven by Formula One World Champion and current NSX Super GT driver, Jenson Button. The 4.38km technical circuit is a twisty and narrow track with 180° corners and a tricky chicane, which was a thorough test of the adaptive damper system
