DC develops EPAS system for autonomous vehicles

July 4, 2017 – DC Electronics has added an EPAS system for autonomous vehicles to its range of standalone EPAS systems. The system’s software is suitable for either fully or partially autonomous vehicles, and allows the direction and rate of steering to be requested via CAN bus.

David Cunliffe, managing director of DC Electronics, commented, “Having supplied electric power steering systems into the motorsport and automotive markets for over 10 years, developing autonomous capability was the logical next step for us. As we are the manufacturer of the systems and not just a reseller, we can provide complete custom autonomous EPAS solutions”.
